These Terms and Conditions ("Agreement") govern the use of services provided by Smooth Moves Removals ("we," "us," or "our"). By engaging our services, you ("the Customer") agree to be bound by the following terms.
1. Definitions
"Goods": Refers to the items you, the Customer, request to be moved.
"Quotation": A written or verbal estimate of the cost of services based on the information provided by the Customer.
"Services": Refers to the removal, transportation, and storage of your Goods, as specified in the Agreement.
2. Quotations
All quotations are based on the information provided by the Customer. Any additional items, services, or special requirements not disclosed at the time of the quotation may incur additional charges.
Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless stated otherwise.
3. Booking and Confirmation
A booking is considered confirmed once a deposit (if applicable) is received, and written confirmation is provided by us.
The Customer is responsible for ensuring that all details in the confirmation are correct. Any changes to the booking must be communicated in writing as soon as possible.
4. Services
Packing: We offer packing services if requested in advance. The Customer is responsible for informing us of any fragile or valuable items that require special care.
Transportation: We will transport your Goods to the destination specified in the booking. The Customer must provide clear instructions for access, parking, and delivery at both the collection and delivery locations.
Storage: We can arrange short or long-term storage of your Goods upon request. Storage services will be subject to separate terms and charges.
5. Customer Responsibilities
The Customer agrees to:
Provide accurate information regarding the Goods, including size, weight, and any special requirements.
Ensure adequate access to both collection and delivery locations. If access is not available or limited (e.g., parking restrictions, staircases), additional charges may apply.
Ensure that all Goods are properly packed and secured if you choose to pack them yourself.
Inform us of any fragile, hazardous, or valuable items that require special handling.
6. Payment Terms
A deposit may be required to secure the booking. The balance must be paid in full upon completion of the services unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Any overdue payments may incur interest charges at the rate of [insert interest rate] per month.
7. Cancellation and Postponement
Cancellations made more than 7 days before the scheduled move date will receive a full refund of any deposits paid.
Cancellations made within 7 days of the scheduled move date may be subject to a cancellation fee of up to [insert percentage or amount] of the total cost.
If you need to postpone your move, please notify us as soon as possible. We will make every effort to accommodate your new date, but we reserve the right to apply additional charges for rescheduling.
8. Liability
We will take all reasonable care in handling your Goods; however, we cannot be held responsible for damage to or loss of items that are improperly packed or not disclosed as fragile.
Our liability for any loss or damage to your Goods is limited to £[insert amount] per item unless additional insurance is arranged.
We are not liable for any consequential losses, including delays caused by traffic, weather conditions, or any other circumstances beyond our control.
9. Insurance
Basic transit insurance is included in our services, covering up to £[insert amount] per item.
The Customer is responsible for arranging additional insurance coverage for high-value or fragile items. We can provide guidance on arranging third-party insurance if needed.
10. Delays
We will make every effort to meet agreed-upon timelines, but we cannot guarantee exact arrival or completion times due to factors beyond our control, such as traffic, weather conditions, or access restrictions.
The Customer will not be entitled to compensation for any delays unless explicitly agreed in writing prior to the move.
11. Complaints
Any complaints regarding our services must be made in writing within 7 days of the service date. We will investigate all complaints and aim to resolve them as quickly as possible.
12. Exclusions
We will not transport the following items:
Hazardous materials (e.g., flammable, explosive, toxic substances).
Perishable goods (e.g., food, plants).
Valuable or irreplaceable items, including cash, jewelry, or important documents, unless previously agreed in writing.
13. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate this Agreement without notice if the Customer is in breach of any of the terms and conditions or if we deem it unsafe or impractical to proceed with the move due to unforeseen circumstances.
14. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under this Agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
